The User Manager is where you create, delete or otherwise manage those people who can log into your website. Before reviewing the User Manager you should take a look at your Global Configuration Control Panel. Select the second tab, System and look at the User Settings section (see image below).
This section defines whether or not visitors are allowed to register and whether newly registered users need to activate their registration. It also describes the permission that newly registered users are given. The most basic is “Registered”. There are other levels such as Administrator, but we don't want strangers to be able to too much unless we know and trust them.
The user manager is found in the administrator control panel section. It has both a control panel icon and a menu item under the Site menu.
You can create a new user by clicking on New button in the top row of window buttons. To edit the information for an existing user, click on the users name in the User Manager list. (See image below).
Most of the items in User detail window should be self explanatory. Editing the information for an existing user will show the same window but with the detail already completed.
