Online/Offline

To take your site offline or put it back online:

Login as administrator (see previous section). Click on the “Global Configuration” control panel (or find Global Configuration from the Site menu).

The first item on the first tab of the Global Configuration screen, under Site Settings is “Site Offline”. It really is a switch. Click on No (makes site online) or Yes (makes site offline) as required.

You can also customize the offline message in the box beneath the Yes/No radio buttons.

YOU MUST CLICK SAVE for the changes to take affect.

Look in the upper right corner of the page. There are buttons labeled Save, Apply, Close and Help. Click on Save to make your changes to the Global Configuration.
